Board of Directors and Committees

The TRYC is governed by an elected board of volunteers supported by numerous committees. Each Fall, senior members are invited to stand for the board by a Nomination Committee. The Nomination Committee prepares a slate of candidates for ratification by membership at the Annual General Meeting. Directors serve two year terms and choose a Commodore, Treasurer, and Secretary from within their group. Other directors occupy positions as board representatives on committees including Racing, Social, Finance, Long-Term Planning, and Yards and Docks. Senior members of TRYC are required to contribute 15 hours of volunteer help to the club each season. Serving on the board or a committee will generally fulfil a member’s volunteer hour obligation while making us a better club in the process.
